About Trudy

I grew up in the beautiful PNW with my big, loud, fun-loving family. All six of us sing, play music, make art, and spend quality time in nature. I find the natural world to be centering, and immerse myself in its gifts as often as possible, whether it’s biking, hiking, swimming, or simple sitting in silence.

I live with my husband and two kitties in North Seattle, and teach children in public school. My aim as a yoga instructor and event facilitator is to connect people in community, help restore inner and outer balance, and to design joyful wellness experiences where living from the heart is the status quo.

A nature lover, a teacher, and adventurist, I believe yoga can be a means to living in harmony with one’s inner self. This gentle approach balances the nervous system, and manifests as health in the body.

I completed my instructor training through Yogaworks in Seattle, WA  in 2008 and have taught all levels of yoga to all ages and abilities for over 17 years.

I strive to create a nurturing space where participants feel safe getting in touch with their bodies and hearts.

My style incorporates:

  • focus on alignment principles for safe practice

  • dynamic periods of movement and rest

  • trauma-informed focus on sensation, body, and feelings

  • playfulness and ease to calm the nervous system

  • yogic wisdom from my own practice and wellness journey

I hope to see you in yoga class!

Love, Trudy
